L'INCONTRO

13 % vol.

L’Incontro is produced from Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, as well as from some traditional grape varieties typical of the Lucca area, such as Ciliegiolo and Canaiolo. This happens because the vineyard from which the grapes are sourced was planted many years ago and, as people used to do in this area, we can find many different varieties grouped within a small plot. The hand-harvested grapes are taken to the winery for destemming and then placed in small vats for skin maceration, during which manual punch-downs are carried out daily. The must is then aged partly in barriques and partly in stainless steel for approximately 12 months, after which it is blended in a single concrete tank before being bottled.

“Behold the warmth of the sun which turns into wine,
reaching the honor that flows from the vine.”
